About
Naomi Pagán began dancing at the age of three, and at eleven she committed to the Advanced Training Program at her dance studio where she trained with Miss Erin and Miss Jen. Through the competitive dance team, Naomi won many awards. She grew up as a well-rounded dancer taking Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Lyrical, Contemporary, Pointe and Hip Hop. It was in the Gloucester County Institute of Technology (GCIT high school) dance program that Naomi was introduced to Modern dance and immediately fell in love with it. Her senior year of high school was when she choreographed her first group dance.
Currently, Naomi is working on a Dual Degree in both Dance and Education at Stockton University. In the most recent Emerging Choreographers Showcase, Naomi was able to perform her own solo which she choreographed herself. She is also a member on the board for the Stockton Dance Club where she held the position of Treasurer during her Sophomore year and will be serving as Public Relations her Junior year. She has had the privilege of working with and studying new techniques under well-known companies/choreographers such as Tiffany Mills Dance Company and Saleana Pettiway who is a Master Teacher in the Umfundalai Technique. Other dance faculty that Naomi has trained under so flare Beau Hancock, Caitlin Pittenger, Chandra Moss-Thorne, Rain Ross, and Shannon Murphy.
Naomi is most excited to continue choreographing and sharing her love for dance this upcoming year with the dancers at Spotlight Performing Arts Center.
